Annual fundraising events are held in the gardens. It is a project of the Michigan Women’s Studies Association (formed 1973) to improve what is thought and taught about women in Michigan schools and universities. This organisation also sponsors an annual conference at a university or college campus to bring more visibility of women’s role in history.
