It is located just east of a 17-foot bronze statue of a “Pioneer Woman”, erected in 1930. The main exhibit gallery looks at Oklahoma’s past (after the Cherokee Outlet Run of 1893) from the perspective of 16 different women, up to the present day including women astronauts. Oklahoma’s 1st Ladies Gowns are displayed in another gallery while there is also an educational centre with videos, an interactive timeline and loom demonstrations. |
