The early years were spent planning and fundraising for the construction of a permanent building in Boulder. However since 1998 the organisation changed focus following the launch of its innovative Virtual Museum. It now has a more programmatic agenda offering online exhibits as well as coordinating and developing traveling exhibitions, women’s history trails, lecture series and other educational programs throughout schools, libraries and community groups. A non profit organisation, it is managed by a national Board of Trustees.
