Dedicated to the women of Mali, its exhibits include statues, masks
and photographs as well as a collection of national costumes. There
is a museum shop selling handicrafts made by women. Based in Mali’s
lively capital in the foothills of the Manding Mountains and on
the banks of the River Niger, the museum was established in about
1998 and is located in a building near La Sanza Bar Restaurant.
