Between 1993 and 2003 Molly’s Bash was the annual fundraiser for the National Pioneer Women's Hall of Fame’s new building fund. It was a unique bush concert and outback experience at Molly Clark’s homestead at Old Andado on the edge of the Simpson Desert.

It was always held on the second weekend in May (Mother’s Day) except for the 2000 Bash when heavy rains made the road impassable and it was moved to Arltunga in July.

The main event was a bush concert around a huge campfire featuring bush band ‘Bloodwood’ and balladeer Ted Egan. In the new century they were joined by local, now international, comedienne Fiona O’Loughlin with her own slant on life in The Centre.

Hardy campers participated in the brain teasing Andado Adventure treasure hunt which took them around the environs of the homestead. For the less adventurous “Wallaby Bill’s” bar had the best view of the sunset over the sand dunes. A delicious roast dinner was served prior to the concert, which included the drawing of the Molly’s Bash raffle.

Molly’s Bash is the annual fundraiser for the National Pioneer Women's Hall of Fame's
new building, The Women’s Place, in Alice Springs, dedicated to preserving the place of women in history and their special contribution to Australia's heritage.

In previous years the main event has been a bush concert around a huge campfire with acclaimed bush band Bloodwood along with Ted Egan being top of the bill. More recently local comedienne Fiona O’Loughlin has kept the audience in stitches. There has been the now famous brain teasing Andado Adventure treasure hunt for all the family around the environs of the homestead followed by a delicious roast dinner and a chance to watch the sun go down from the unique bough shed “Wallaby Bill’s” bar.

The 2002 Bash was the 10th, a Year of the Outback event, and the most successful, raising around $10,000.

In 2003 Molly arranged a fundraising get-together of 70 of her friends, with music supplied by the St Phillip’s College Bush Band and the usual fun and camaraderie around the campfire.

Due to the logistics involved, Molly’s bash is currently no longer being run.
